If you have been running around Arc Raiders for hours and still cannot get your hands on Steel Springs, you are not the only one. These little parts can slow your whole crafting game to a crawl. The trick is not blind luck but knowing exactly where to poke around. Once you start hitting the right places, those springs will pile up faster than you think. I learned pretty quickly that treating the world like a giant scrapyard works best, and grabbing anything that looks remotely mechanical is key. If you are serious about upgrading your kit, check out ARC Raiders Items to see what you are working toward.
Your safest bet is to sweep through small abandoned garages or old repair sheds. These spots are usually tucked away and not crawling with enemies, so you can take your time. Pop open every rusty cabinet, dig through toolboxes, and scan the shelves. A lot of the time, springs are just lying there among other junk. I have found them sitting next to half-broken drills or wedged behind paint cans. The bonus here is you can load up without having to waste ammo dealing with heavy patrols. If you are up for a tougher run, head into the bigger industrial zones. Old factories and multi-floor workshops are where the good stuff hides. You will bump into ARC units more often, so be ready for a fight. But the payoff is worth it. Look for those big red tool chests or tall metal shelving stacked with parts. Sometimes, busted machines on the factory floor can be scavenged directly for springs. A single sweep through one of these buildings can net you a dozen or more if you are thorough and not in a rush. Do not forget dismantling. This is something a lot of players skip over. Any time you spot mechanical junk like desk fans, typewriters, or odd little contraptions, grab them. Break them down in your inventory and you will often get one or two springs out of each. It is not flashy, but it adds up over time. I make it a habit to scoop up anything that looks like it has gears or coils inside, even if it is not marked as “valuable” loot. It is basically free parts you can carry without hunting specific spawns. One last tip—certain smaller ARC bots sometimes drop springs when destroyed. They are not the most reliable source, but if you are already clearing an area, it is a nice bonus. I usually target the more mechanical-looking ones rather than the soldier types. Between looting, dismantling, and the occasional drop, you will start seeing your stash grow. And when you are ready to turn those springs into something useful, you can always buy ARC Raiders gear to give your build an extra push. |
